As a result, individual loads weighing up to 3,000 tons can be taken on-board or offloaded rpds in classical RoRo mode. The ship can also be submerged rpds by more than 12 metres to permit cargo to be floated in or out. Trials of this system have been carried out successfully in the past weeks.
