Today I passed my California Drivers License Test and Im Legally allowed to drive here in California! wohoo! So let me tell you how this happened. It already started my first week when Michelle put my driving license theory test my second week in LA. I studied very sick and then the day came when it was time. DMV in Santa Monica was sick chillt compared to the DMV in DC. They were not nagging all the paperwork and stuff, they just checked my passport and DS2019 paper :) Then I got a note and so I put myself in line to take pictures, it would be done before you did the test: P The guy who did card gave me then a piece of paper with 36 questions on ... and so it was theory test ... aha, so I just put myself at a table and began to respond to the test with the help of a pencil defacto ... around me, I heard all the people who talked throughout the DMV office .. nothing special room even to do the test you just took it and stood us a little fenced area type ... hm ... It was the check questions and them was not really ours, but I had studied as well, so it went great ;) Asked me then waiting in line to get the test corrected ... and "I passed" :) wohoo! Part 1 of 2 clear. Got a driving lay of the lady who accepted my test and now I could begin to "practice run" haha. We booked almost a "behind defacto the wheel" test for me too, a real driving tests then. I got to try the car once in about 40 minutes the day before I did the test, thats it. This morning defacto we drove down to the DMV in Santa Monica, when we got there we were ordered to stand in a queue behind the DMV building. We had a car in front of us who were waiting for a uppkörningsman, when they drove away it was my turn! :) A few minutes later my uppkörningsman, he asked if all the signals and stuff before he got into his car. Then he told me to run out, the first intersection offered a left turn with oncoming who had precedence of course: P Want to point out that the area around the DMV in Santa Monica is very crowded, it is a mid-sized American city and it's a lot of cars! After that I drove straight, swung at times, a little more left turns .. suddenly I would veer to the edge, oh well then it will be to back down now then I thought, and that was exactly what I had to do ... back in a straight line ... he said soon stop and go back into the traffic. We ran well in 15 - 20 minutes or so, and there was nothing complicated, but it was the second time in my life I was driving in the United States so there was lots of new things during my driving test, haha, lucky he did not know it: P But after being parked outside the DMV again so he said "you passed" :) Wohooo again! : P Was then a piece of paper that serves as my temporary driver's license before the real sent home in the mail! :) Awesome, California Drivers License. Had then driven a short walk in the area I live in about 40 minutes, the only time I've driven in the U.S. all my life ... completely new and yet I put it, yes I am a bit proud: ') But I get to be indeed! : D Is pretty damn happy right now! And driving license test is not as easy as many people defacto think here in the U.S., have heard many au pairs who have been doing both theory and practical test several times. So I was fortunate ...: ') cruised around in the Jeep here in the Palisades and enjoyed getting to run again, what a great moment! This Jeep I cruised around with today ;) Nice!
