Pokhara | about passports, backpacks and 108 days in the south-east asia
We were on the last flight by category (10:30) booked, so we ate quietly get up and breakfast with Steve and Alex (who spent the night with us in Jomsom). After all packed and was done Janine spend some time with her diary and Henco go see the goats. He is sure to be a good 50 herds over, all the way from Tibet to Pokhara's markets and abattoirs. This morning we are early targets. Gal & Anton (Isreal) along with scooters to explore the area. First it was a struggle latent to get drivable scooters and again for Anton who had to arrange to ride the thing.
When we finally latent travic in route to the 2 very gesonderse lakes 10km town. Unfortunately, it was just a bit of a disappointment after our 11 days in the mountain. It's certainly a must for those who will not come into the store. The 10km has well over 10km feeling. The roads are just in a rough state (the 200km from Pokhara to Kathmando by 6 to 7 hours!).
Back of lakes we first Janine dropped before we went to the Devi's Falls; A disappointment, but at 20Rs (R2), the damage is not too great. Then we down a hill on to some peace stupa's (temple). latent The trip out was but rofferig been having a very bad way and two inexperienced drivers. With a little more than luck we could at least make and enjoy a nice view.
The excitements fires were not yet extinguished, so we decided to rest after the buurdorpie, Sarangkot. Gal gave us an offroad road looked back once again that a trial was. Fortunately, we at least in time before 19:00 made back to the landlord. Here we are again in Bankok | about passports, backpacks and 108 days in southeast asia
The night it was busrig least not too bad and we both could have a nice nap. With us this morning in Bankok raining cats and dogs! Horrible, especially with the extra shopping bag that must be dragged along. Luckily we did already a few days spent in Bankok and could quickly orient ourselves. In an earlier time in Bankok, we have identified absent a guesthouse where we would want to stay when we return. The guesthouse was happy just ahead vd bus stop and a room we had (we could only get to two hours, so when we sleep, but in the reception).
After a well deserved shower and nap we in the streets. After a big breakfast behind our back MPC (massive! Shopping mall) for crocs for Henco (he has his raging 2 months non-stop it) and a hard drive in the Pantip (massive computer store).
With all the work done behind us and we could start to relax. That night for dinner we just in Khoi San Street for a delicious Kabab hell. Like most other nights it rains started later, but just a little, nothing serious. It rains normally but only a little at a time and then stop. That night it was different. It did not stop and just gradually started raining absent harder. And the lightning! Henco it's the worst he has ever experienced! We got us a seat somewhere had to wait for the rain to take a little light and we can go on, but wanted to. When the water on the pavement started absent pouring we decided to take the rain to tackle. We probably wasted hours walking around we wanted to home, but it was still raining so bad we got stuck half. Later we decided to almost knee-deep water to traipse home. Hope stores had flooded and was understandably vd cause chaos! How nice it was just not room in the 3rd floor have not!

We leave in the morning along with 44 Isrealies. So it's our second and another two friends along with the SA sweterjoel Isrealies. Fortunately it was not a problem, since we have a whole lot to know and also befriended.
The starting point is 2.5 hours bus from Pokhara. Certainly not 100km away, but the roads here to turn to groan. After all the boats were blown up, it's a nice surprise lunch and then we leave.
The river really is not so bad, though marketed it as their grade 3+ and 4+. The main concern was the cold water, dec all runoff vd snowy mountains. The 1st day continued without any problems and after some nice big waves arrive at the camp. It's on a beautiful beach at a large cliff. dec There is even struggled to camp, including tents, but after everything was done could relax. The rain did not wait long and it was not dark for it when raining. After a delicious meal, like meals sl was our bed. And the tent has not leaked!
Next morning after breakfast we're coming. And right from the start we are a big, wet rappid the last of our wake. The day did have a fairly large lot rappids had just sorry our guide told us many times around the well trying to send. We suspect that he is fairly inexperienced and even more scared than we were. The excitement vd day was when we first boodjie in vd rappids his butt we all see a dip handles. We both ended up under the message, but managed to come out soon enough below. We tackle the morning but pretty early and after breakfast our bus station. We had to wait about 45 minutes for the "state" bus to come. After an hour's drive and an airport shuttle is us at the airport with enough time to relax to book and relax. Indenture to see us beat our flight was delayed by two hours. And if there might still be a second is the laptop. Never mind the photos (even the wedding album), Inge's teddy, Jean's duckling, phone box and saffron. Only the passports - with the visas in India !! Lest I might be stuck here for the rest of my life. The past two weeks we were without visas Indie and it made me freak out. (Especially when the receptionist Easter weekend in Kovalam resort urging our passports to see. She then noticed that our visas have already expired, and say we should keep up with a little explanation, because they need it to police reports some !!) To be a residence visa in India to renew is a nightmare. Our first year's visa (we within 3 days in the UK were given, without ever after an Indie embassy holly hagan to go) on January 3, 2009 expiration. Already in December, we at the FRRO office in Chennai to apply for an extension (you can just two weeks before the expiration date to reapply). After three visits to the office, we have a temporary extension for three months had while our papers were sent to Delhi (everything here is done by paper). A month before holly hagan the due date, Japie's office began inquiring, Joseph phoned, I Stressed, but still has three months came and went and our visas have expired. The FRRO said it does not matter if the visa has expired, we can only stay in India (great). They did not want to put in writing, and the catch was that we did not leave the country without holly hagan a valid visa no. Trapped in India - I cursed !!! Of course we have papers between Delhi and Chennai lost. After two weeks when I pitch daarso. Surprise surprise. My passport is not there yet. Deep breath, it does not help you get your passport and you sit behind bars for no property damage. I drive back home.
My stress level is now a bastard in the face. Would this department honestly tell me I'm going AGAIN R 185.00 must pick out AGAIN and have to wait 3-4 months for my "new" passport? To hell. I will not take out a dime for another passport. The government can at least man up and say "It's our fault because we make crappy passports canada immigration and we do not think the public should pay for our incompetence not." Wrath see my story: canada immigration I was half nine this morning canada immigration at our domestic affairs just to apply for a temp passport mensig that's chaos !!! First I had to tell why my passport away (the soul's fellow brothers got mine from my house, my safe was stolen) and I urgently need a passport !!! Then I had to fill out forms, fingerprints and other forms ...... sigh !!! After two and a half hours I was there with two temp passports canada immigration and R924 poorer !!
